In October, MEMX Equities add volume mix included 47.9% market maker/prop activity, 32.0% retail, and 17.8% bank. Retail activity included a significant amount of sub-$1 volume.
TRF (Trade Reporting Facility) off-exchange market share reached a record of 48.8%, the highest level in recent years.
Off-exchange activity has increased significantly across all tapes over the past year.
Options Exchange Highlights
MEMX Options regular electronic market share increased significantly in 2024 to 6.3% in October, including market share of 6.0% in penny underlyings and 9.0% in non-penny underlyings.
In October, MEMX Options had diverse order flow participation with a volume capacity mix of 58.2% market maker, 39.3%, customer and 2.6% firm.
